MATERIALS
Materials are essential in the fabrication of custom-made machining parts, especially in international trade, so it is important to undertand material requests under different standards and choose the best possible local materials to satisfy customers' needs.
Take Chinese Stainless Steel 304 for example, it is the equivalent of AISI 304 S.S. from the United States and W-nr. 1.4301 (DIN X5CrNi189) from Germany, and they are almost the same except that the element of chrome in Chinese 304 S.S. is lower (Cr. 17-19 v.s. Cr. 18-20) and higher grade of S.S. or custom-made S.S. has to be applied if customer is critical on the Chrome content.
